It's clear that Grenell was tapped by GOP to fight Mayor Pete on this one in a "gay vs. gay" face off. He's smart not to engage, especially since the views/policies of Pence are quite clearly anti-LGBTQ.

There's something seriously refreshing about @PeteButtigieg--a speech that doesn't sound like anyone else, a world view shaped by original thinking, the ability to embrace his own differences with openness & honesty, criticism less about attack than defining what's better.
