Anyone know of *any* EU based news/media sites which are #GDPR/#ePrivacy compliant? I can't think of a single one off the top of my head... cc @maxschrems (Max you planning on taking on media as well?)
EU-Media is huge issue. I just visited the top 20 pages according to this website (https://www.4imn.com/topEurope/ ) and nearly all had a cookie banner or no banner at all.
The only compliant looking sites: https://www.mirror.co.uk/ and https://www.express.co.uk/
#GDPR
Neither Mirror or Express are lawful - they all launch a shit load of cookies before the user consents (before the banner is even shown) - completely unlawful under 2002/58 Art. 5(3) #privacy
Oh, wow. I just checked the visual consent gathering. The media outlets have a long way to go.
It is like robbing a house and then going to the police station to fence what you stole...
