Remember: security is not privacy. A corporation has a fiduciary duty to keep its assets secure. You (your profile, derived from your data) are Google’s assets. It will do its best to keep its assets safe. What about privacy? You don’t have any of that, I’m afraid.

This is misleading though. Apple would collect the same data to enhance its machine learning tools as well.
-
Apple puts nearly all their machine learning algorithms on the devices themselves. (Not because they love you but because https://ar.al/notes/apple-vs-google-on-privacy-a-tale-of-absolute-competitive-advantage/ …) (E.g., if you’re living in China, don’t expect any privacy love.)

Check the thing google said above my question. Why does it need web/app activity, and Device information controls. Deleting the app immediately. Just downloaded to ask the question.

Any clues what it'll do with that info?
-
Whatever it wants to. Unless we have algorithmic transparency, your guess is as good as mine.
