it is a soft form of “Banality of Evil” [Hannah Arendt] just thinking of the people who build weapons and arms for trade day in and out, and wondering how much is there a difference? people need to live, in a way you’d think in the west at least, people have choices, do they ?

Yes, that’s spot on. (And we always have choices. If anything those historic precedents should serve as warnings for us to alter our future behaviour, not justifications for continuing to engage in them.)

struggling to decipher this from a marx point of view, if the user = labour is the capital - data the “gold” - how is the “worker” positioned, it must take more responsibility and not just ASK for a job, or a raise, i mean an ethical manifesto has to be applied to all positions
