@AaronWinters916 also remember to self host fonts from Google fonts -
What do we actually leak? Our ip? But can they even see which page that ip was viewing?
-
ip but more importantly cookies;https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13897472/how-do-third-party-tracking-cookies-work …

I found this which argues Google font is okay. No cookies are sent it seems https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/60464/are-there-privacy-considerations-in-using-google-web-fonts#60470 … But what i dont know: if site is https, can Google fonts even see which sites users are requesting the font?
-
Even if Google X is ok today, it may not be in tomorrow’s update. More importantly, loading assets from Google’s domains normalises their practice and even if fonts is ok, the rest of their trackers (analytics, YouTube videos, etc.) aren’t.
-
This aligns with my thinking. It's pure laziness using Google fonts. So just don't. But be honest about this. Also: cloudflare is everywhere and yet nobody talks about that problem.
