Young people I talk to don't care about privacy -- they want FREE services & content, & the price of such is loss of privacy -- it's a generational difference, viewing privacy as quaint, instead of valued

They constantly change how to go about updating your settings, so there’s that. You have to re-do the same task, for people who thought it was taken care of...it slips by them. New language is introduced. Options are on a micro-level, clearly meant to overwhelm the user.

Don’t forget the average person using these platforms aren’t career tech types. Most people don’t have the patience to dissect how their TV works or why, or think how to make it better. They just use it.
and that’s ok, it’s up to the developer to make it safe.
