These stats are entirely in line with ours from @betterblocker’s crawler – we found ~80% of websites contain hidden Google trackers (code: https://source.ind.ie/better , site: https://better.fyi ).

Also browser developers who in most cases have not made it a priority to add
#trackingProtection to implement user norms on being "followed" from site to site. A browser open to 3rd-party tracking is like an open SMTP relay: a bad idea on today's Internet, but tricky work to fix. -
The Safari team are doing a lot within this field, with features such as blocking third party cookies by default and Intelligent Tracking Prevention.
