There is no such thing as “data privacy”, there is privacy.
Data doesn’t have rights, people have a human right to privacy.
Your data belongs to you & is a part of you. Data about people is people.

What if I want to give up my rights if it helps in stopping corruption in country?

I don’t see how that follows. Your not having human rights only makes it easier to perpetuate corruption. There is simply no disadvantage to you or to society by your human rights being protected.
