Great letter, wise words, principled stance, bravo. But “Lord Adonis”… really? Isn’t the fact that we have a “Lord Adonis” on the eve of 2018 in anything but the latest instalment of a Philip Pullman novel a glaring part of the problem?https://twitter.com/DMiliband/status/947115742033580033 …

On the merits of such an exceedingly well-articulated retort, how can one do anything but comply forthwith in earnest? :)

I'm sorry but I'm sick of people coming for Adonis' name, position, holiday destination etc and not just getting on with agreeing or disagreeing with his brilliant take down of the direction this government is taking.

Surely we can both agree with his brilliant take down and disagree with a system of privilege that he perpetuates through association? How are the two in any way mutually exclusive?

I just think we are in the system we are in, and I for one believe the HoL needs replacing with a more democratic model, but I still believe Adonis deserves a voice in the current model. Especially when his points are so vital.
