I still don't get why JS stalwarts are so down on CoffeeScript. Had one determined to rid me of this "bad habit". What, the not getting RSI from all the curly braces and list comprehensions bad habit?

Haha, indeed. Sadly, for our upcoming project, I’ve decided to go w ES6 instead of CoffeeScript 2 as I feel the former has less cognitive load overall (when you consider its popularity/some of the little inconsistencies in CS2, etc. For the sake of the team, I’m going with ES6.)

Yep, we're Babel'ing ES* as well. Got to run with the herd. When CS has "This means you may need to transpile the CoffeeScript compiler’s output." in its docs, you know you're through the looking glass.
