The big question remains: to what end? Just to serve us personalised ads? Or rather to create mathematical models to predict and manipulate human behaviour and societal changes?

The advertising market might be worth a lot but not this much ;-) I foresee many more heavily backed companies like Cambridge Analytica popping up in the near future.
