Ah, didn’t even realise that was a thing (thanks). We should start calling iOS the “hidden gesture” OS. All these hidden swipes, overloaded gestures, etc., are examples of anti-patterns, not good design. Oh, behave! :) (Seriously though, all these hidden gestures are also a nightmare for accessibility – I mean consider people with motor difficulties differentiating between various touch sensitivities. I have trouble as is with such overloaded functionality without motor issues.)

The fact that the amount of force sometimes doesn’t trigger the correct behavior makes it all the more confusing and inaccessible. iOS definitely contains a ridiculous amount of hidden features…
