And if the verb is used to specifically address a common sexist behaviour, sure; but then this tweet doesn't qualify, as it wasn't sexism.
In either case, the use of "mansplaining" here was inappropriate and unnecessarily provocative, making a bad situation worse.
"Mansplaining" and "well actually" are two *completely* different things, and should be treated as such.
That difference is the one that matters here, and the one I'm criticizing. Gender is not a relevant property in this case.
