It'd be nice if we dropped unnecessarily polarizing terminology like "mansplaining". This was just a poorly thought out remark, not sexist.

And if the verb is used to specifically address a common sexist behaviour, sure; but then this tweet doesn't qualify, as it wasn't sexism.

In either case, the use of "mansplaining" here was inappropriate and unnecessarily provocative, making a bad situation worse.
