That's more about open source and diversity not so much about data protection and transparency which is what you meant right?
It’s exactly about protecting privacy/human rights. “Data protection” today is allowing the wolf the chicken coop but asking him to be nice.
What's the answer? More regulation, opt in not opt out? As consumers we rely on these companies to act in our best interest.
