Yep. Its already difficult to combine Christianity with human rights. Though Jesus was so clear on that. But people know better then him.

But here's the thing. I'm an atheist but was raised Catholic (not exactly favorable to women). Athough I couldn't reconcile the feminism..
-
W/church teachings, plenty of ppl do, and that's for them to decide (& there are gay catholics, etc.). Not for me to judge their choices.
-
What part of the Catholic catechism actively promotes violence -ACTUAL VIOLENCE -against anyone for anything, sinful or otherwise?
-
First off, we're talking about feminism, not violence (but not for nothing, I could find you just as many biblical passages that promote...
-
Violence as you would cite to me in Islam).

You obv know nothing of the Catholicism you were raised in since Bible is only 1 of many sources. Catechism determines what is moral or not.
-
I think I made it pretty clear the Bible was one source of Catholic belief systems. I went to Catholic/Christian schools for 19 years.
-
And I think I made it pretty clear that the official teachings of the Catholic church DO NOT conflict with basic human rights, unlike Sharia
