No other browsers on
@CopperheadOS and F-Droid :-/ at least it's Chromium, not Chrome. Desktop is FF and@brave -
There are a bunch of other browsers but our Chromium builds are more secure than any of those and don't have privacy issues like this.
-
Firefox is available as org.gnu.icecat on F-Droid but that's pretty much the least secure browser option available. Most are WebView ones.
-
WebView is just Chromium via our hardened Chromium builds, but the Chromium WebView sandbox isn't as good as the standalone Chromium.
-
Brave could have security parity with our Chromium if we had the time to make hardened builds of Brave, assuming they update it promptly.
-
Since on Android, it's really just a lightly modified Chromium. They mostly add content filtering via EasyList-style blocking subscriptions.
-
I love
@CopperheadOS that gives us sovereignty on our phones, thank you for making it. It's on others now to publish more on F-Droid.
