Why should I respect a mean-minded, stupid god who creates a world so full of injustice and pain?

Blasphemy laws are an absurdity. They criminalise the fact that I don't share your unfounded belief.

It is not about believe in gods, it is for people not able to morally cope with a grief and so abusing religion to be as cruel as they like.
-
Stephen Fry wasn’t being cruel to anyone: he was questioning a faith he happens not to share. That should not be a crime.

Agreed, absurd. The state can't legislate on thoughts and words, + if there is a God (I think so), a state does not speak for him/her/it.

Judging and punishing people on accusation of blasphemy is a heresy in itself. How dare a human pretend to know what a god thinks or feels?
