And as I wrote yesterday, I think Apple should have required Uber to disclose exactly what they had done. Still should.

I’m not saying Uber’s popularity excuses anything. But booting them would be life altering for many users. Not to be taken ligthtly.

I agree it’s not an easy situation. I would have (do) expect better from Apple. I wouldn’t from anyone else.

Can’t find it now, but yesterday I read a post from a woman in Montana. Taxis can take over an hour to arrive. Ubers: 4-6 minutes.

Indeed, yet there are competitors (Lyft). Apple should’ve at least informed customers. An indie dev would have been banned for life.
