Note: @MacAffinity reacted swiftly to remove the connection to Google DoubleClick from their apps and I’ve independently verified the fix.

curious to learn the followup revelations, given the loud denial that no such connection was made. (Hidden lib issues?)
-
We didn't have the Welcome screen so the only warning we saw was for a whitelist call, corrected v quickly when we realised
-
sounds like the kind of thing that happens when you don't unit test a site outside the confines of the company network.

I've noticed that
@littlesnitch can sometimes attribute connections to the wrong program when the computer is under load. -
Not in this case. I just removed the rule. Restarted Affinity Photo. Same request. It tries DoubeClick on every start+

Hi - this isn't true. The only thing we connect to is Amazon to get the latest plugin white list.
-
Here are all the connections Affinity Photo makes at startup. If you’re not aware of any of them,

-
If you turn the welcome screen off (uncheck show this panel at start up) it won't happen
-
Expecting users to manually turn something off to avoid something that they don't know is there, as a fix? ......really?
-
As we've said, this was to demonstrate the cause. We're fixing right now.

Glad to hear!

It only sends up version number so we know what white list to use, no usage or customer specific data whatsoever
