It does say something about humanity that “fried shrimp” was included as an emoji before shrimp.

Or about emoji having originated in Japan for social texting; hence food and pets got in before animals in general

Both show up if you type “prawn”. I think this is an American thing, but I’m not sure.

Prawn is usually a Commonwealth term. In Australia, "don't come the raw prawn" means "don't act innocent to deceive me".
