Ethical business models are not only utopian, but an oxymoron. No business or individual does anything for nothing. Always a payoff.

Please look up the definition of “ethics” (hint: it doesn’t mean “doing something for nothing”)
-
What you see as ethical & what someone else sees as ethical is subjective. Even ur definition may change under the right circumstance
-
Yep, and Trump’s definition will be different still. Doesn’t mean that they’re all equivalent or have the same value.
-
Ultimately, as soon as you're in business, you're benefitting from someone's problem. UX, consumer behaviour not unethical.
-
Marketing or soliciting donations for a product while claiming an ethical moral high ground borders on misrepresentation. It's consumerism
-
one could argue
#ux and consumer behaviour ethical because you get better products/services while wasting fewer resources -
could be time, less expensive product due to waste reduction, etc. Consent 4 data collection adds another level.

Advertising & indeed, selling anything is inherently "exploitive". You're giving up to get something. The question is if it's worth it
-
Advertising doesn’t have to be behavioural. Even behavioural advertising doesn’t have to involve corporate surveillance.
-
Yes it does. Otherwise, you'd be marketing million dollar homes to infants.

The difference is in the level of predatory behaviour... benefiting by doing harm. Even that's subjective. Psychics are great example
