@brandoninvergo Again, Apple doesn’t just sell you metal + an OS. Remove the apps / iCloud & you have a very different experience.
@aral That's true but I think the accelerating popularity of Apple preceded those services.
@aral I think the problem is one of perception: that free OSes are still buggy, not sexy, only for programmers, etc.
@aral while Apple products are perceived in exactly the opposite way: rock solid, sexy and easy to use
@aral and that perception is in no small part shaped by Apple's PR/marketing
