@aral @Comodo_SSL This explains the guidelines https://cabforum.org/wp-content/uploads/EV-V1_5_2Libre.pdf …. You don't need an EV cert, issuing to ppl would devalue them. -
@RossDargan Read primary purposes section, points 1 & 2. Legal entity can be a person or company.+@Comodo_SSL -
@aral @Comodo_SSL point 2 all certs provide, point 1 says "Certificate by name, address of Place of Business," sounds like a company to me? -
@RossDargan It also says “identify the legal entity”, then assumes legal entity is a business — it’s like the Corporate Gaze. +@Comodo_SSL -
@aral @Comodo_SSL read section 8.5 "The CA MAY only issue EV Certificates to Applicants that meet the Private Organization, Government ..." -
@RossDargan Exactly. This is what I have a problem with. +@Comodo_SSL -
@aral @Comodo_SSL Wouldn't it be the same as complaining that a company who provide business insurance won't cover you as an individual? - 1 more reply
