@aral make sure you disable Xcode’s automatic (by default on) PNG compression, because otherwise this is a pretty useless optimization.

@aral for web it totally makes sense, yes. btw: Xcode’s compression is quite good actually, so there’s little need to self-optimize. -

@aral every byte counts & as a one time operation, pushing your images through ImageOptim is never bad & only takes a few minutes -
@davemurdock I guess you’re right (and I probably will for that reason) but not sure about time/reward :) -
@aral time is trivial, drag your files in & let it crunch in the background while you do other stuff. Reward is knowing you did right!
