Dear @GooglePlay, how the hell did you approve a game about killing gay people? #DeleteAssHunter via @tommorrispic.twitter.com/RRHAtZ6Zhs

@sammachin Google is directly benefitting from that game and has its logo above it. This isn’t about crnsorship; it’s about ethics…
@aral are you saying mozilla should censor any web pages I view in Firefox because it has their logo above it?
@sammachin Afaik, Mozilla doesn’t own the web, Google owns the GooglePlay store. Apples and oranges.
@aral I suppose it is at least possible to self publish the game on the developers own site and side load it with android..
@aral but the impact of them implementing their ethical view point (eg removal) would be censorship.
@sammachin @aral I think the key point here is that there is incitement to commit violence against people for being gay. That's not on.
@sammachin @aral I've written some musings about it: http://betanews.com/2014/11/24/googles-removal-of-homophobic-gay-hunting-game-was-far-far-too-slow/ …
@MarkWilsonWords @aral Good well written piece, I was trying to make the same point, not easy in 140chars!
@sammachin @aral thank you. Twitter is just too limiting sometimes!
