@aral Either way is still threatening and fear-mongering. And using small children as a basis for that message is harmful imo.

@markboulton I’m sorry you feel that way, Mark. It’s not fear mongering—these companies pose a real threat to our human rights & democracy. -
@aral Don't get me wrong, I understand the message and what you guys are doing. I think the way the message was delivered is abhorent. -
@aral Why not make the point in a succinct manner, save 4mins of screen time & focus on being *positive* about YOUR product.@markboulton -
@TomStill Because we need to explain why the product is necessary. What we’re doing is not the norm. Why are we doing it? +@markboulton - 1 more reply

@aral Just watched the video - was pretty good, although find it slightly ironic that your first required position is for a Go developer... -
@Nick_Hurford Alas, we cannot change what Pulse was written in originally :) We’ll use existing tech when there are no strings attached.

@aral thank you for listening. Do you still stand by your comments from Aug, where you claimed that using Google in schools is child abuse? -
@mightyshakerjnr Yes. Not *sexual abuse*. Abuse. Meaning #2 at https://www.wordnik.com/words/abuse : “To hurt or injure by maltreatment” -
@aral@mightyshakerjnr Wow, very telling, if using the word 'abuse' conjures the word 'sexual' in the mind. A 1st world phenomenon? -
@jampadd@aral I didn't say sexual. I said child abuse, which has a myriad of different interpretations. http://www.childline.org.uk/Explore/AbuseSafety/Pages/AbuseSafety.aspx … -
@mightyshakerjnr Of course you didn't, that's clear, but some people who don't like ind.ie think Aral did, or so it seems from this thread.
