I get this question all the time: ‘isn’t Apple the same?’ … ‘why didn’t you criticise Apple?’ The answer is no, they’re not the same.
Yes, they’re a closed/proprietary ecosystem but don’t mistake that for having the same business model as Google, Facebook, etc.
The difference is that if Google stopped spying on people, they’d go bankrupt tomorrow. Apple don’t have to and wouldn’t miss a beat.
