So, who else is coming to @indiewebcamp Brighton? There’s currently an embarrassing all-white-male list of “creators” http://indiewebcamp.com/2014/UK/Guest_List#Creators …

(…We had a very diverse turnout for http://ind.ie/summit but we also struggled on the second day during the unconference. Thoughts?)
-
@aral struggled in what sense? diversity of participation? -
@anoemi Yes. Second day, while not exclusive by any means, had greater white-male-itis. -
@aral have you met@mozzadrella? She's done some work specifically around participation at unconferences. :) -
@anoemi Hadn’t. Now following :) Hi@mozzadrella :)

@aral why will you "have to" drop out ? -
.
@thinkovation I do not feel comfortable in homogenous communities/don’t want to perpetuate that culture. (See http://ind.ie/manifesto ) -
@aral seems a little "precious" to me. Surely if you want to challenge homogeneity you need to go where it is, rather than disengaging? -
@thinkovation Not a dichotomy. Can also use that time/effort to invest in diverse initiatives instead and lead by example.
