@aral What alternative do you prefer? Insecure sms?

.
@desiknr I prefer them to _automatically_ send me one when I open my account. Not tell me when I first try to make a payment. -
@aral Oh, I thought every bank gave you one of those for free when you open an account. At least they do here. -
@desiknr Yes, the competent ones do. +@NatWest_Help

@aral How on earth do you not have one? They sent me my first 7 or 8 years ago and now I have loads of the things. This can't be their fault -
@RichardJohn I don't have one because they didn't send me one automatically when I set up the account. Simple to understand, really.

@aral How can you not have one? I have like four of the bloody things. -
@toolboxcreation Because they didn’t send me one when I set up the account. Should be automatic. Muppets! :)

@aral that’s pretty standard for banks in the UK I thought… absolute ball ache, but standard. -
@lurkmoophy At least HSBC actually sends you the card reader/whatever device automatically. -
@aral Weird… It thought Natwest sent me mine… I have multiple in fact :/ Take me back to the old insecure days anyway… *nostalgia haze*

@KnittyZen That's not the same kind of card reader... -
@RichardJohn I realised after I tweeted..hence the additional mention re: Barclays..! -
@KnittyZen Ah fair enough, your second tweet didn't show below his! -
@RichardJohn ..I do hope I am now forgiven!!!
-
@KnittyZen You are, and I no longer think you're a spammer searching for mentions of card reader ha - End of conversation
