FreeAgent-using folks. GoCardless or Stripe integration? Which works better for you? And how (do you?) pass the fees on to the client?

@aral but their fees are higher (2.5% vs 1%) -
@laurakalbag Hmm… but apples and oranges — GoCardless is Direct Debit. I guess if all your clients in the UK, it would be fine. -
@aral@laurakalbag If it helps GoCardless can now take European DD payments as well.

@aral (which is significant when it’s billing for hours) -
@laurakalbag (Why not just use bank transfers? 0%) :) -
@aral have a client asking about using their card instead (I think that’s easier if they’re an arm of another company) -
@laurakalbag That’s simple — tell them sure, it’s +2.5% to use the card :) -
@aral but from a system point of view, that’s a nightmare. Have to rewrite the invoice depending on payment choice, creating confusion. -
@laurakalbag@aral to go back to the original question. UI of Stripe much better. The DD aspect of gocardless is too big a friction point.
