@aral You mean because Apple is purposefully blocking WebGL on mobile safari? What exactly is Chromes fault here?

@aral Don't get me wrong: I know what you're shooting at and I have the same fears. But you've just built an ugly straw man.

@halfbyte Maybe in this case but things are only going to get worse with Blink. Already happening (see recent Regions split).

@aral Yes, the regions thing is ugly. It was ugly to begin with, though (the spec) and I have sympathy for both sides in that case.

@halfbyte Given the grave threat Google poses to our privacy & civil liberties, I have no sympathy for them whatsoever.

@aral Yes I know, you’re not very subtle about that. Me, I find that view too simplistic. Google is people, too.

@halfbyte Google is a business model with people that perpetuate it. Doesn't mean they all agree with it, but it's what pays the rent.

.@aral @dstorey Why call out Google for not limiting itself to iOS's aging browser? Even IE on Windows RT supports WebGL!

@aral I agree that in general Google are dicks about web compat, but in this specific case the site works fine in other browsers with WebGL.

@TedMielczarek I’m getting reports that it doesn’t on IE due to user agent sniffing & works if you hack past the message.

@aral @dstorey don’t blame Chrome for the fact that Apple hasn’t enabled WebGL in Safari. Sadly, every WebGL demo has to gate Safari users.
