@aral I think it depends how many hours they would expect for the desk space. Is skills swop different from paying for the desk space?

@seb_ly I don’t know, something about all those FREEs just sounds wrong. It’s only free if design/dev work has zero monetary value. -
@aral yeah they shouldn’t really call it free - are they changing the wording on that? -
@seb_ly They said they would on the@WiredSussex listing at least. -
@aral being devils advocate here but couldn’t something like http://www.lighthouse.org.uk/programme/technologist-in-residence … be seen as perhaps a nicely-worded version of the same? -
@stevepurkiss I was paid for my time there. It’s just one of the ways@LighthouseArts has been supporting me & Indie :) (They’re lovely.) :) -
@aral cool, sounds like I should speak to them sometime about free software school!

@aral Sounds OK *if* the hours you’d have to supply aren’t too high.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@aral Not uncommon. Freelancer gains a permanent serviced office for some of their time = tax/admin efficient & helps freelancer grow.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@aral If it works out cheaper than other options for getting studio space / desk. It's not a free desk though, rented desk really.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
