        @aral 'they' is actually appropriate usage when referring to someone of an unknown gender, and is more respectful as well :) @nexxylove

        @aral @ashedryden the fact that we don’t have an ‘official’ singular non-gendered pronoun plays no small part in preventing acceptance.

        @aral For that matter, what excludes someone from being a geek? Likely that person is a geek in some way. Sounds like gatekeeping to me.
