@aral Couldn't that create an endless loop? Does the browser always know if there will be a scrollbar by the time it reports the width?

@petermaurer Nope. It can easily update the value just like it does when the browser window is resized. -
@aral That means web pages would have to monitor for changes (i.e., be responsive), though, right? -
@petermaurer Only if they wanted to be responsive. Viewport sizes in current spec are inaccurate & tie viewport size to optional UI element.
