@aral Those rules seem perfectly reasonable. Have you considered using a password recipe? http://luigimontanez.com/2010/password-recipes/ …

@1uigi They are not reasonable. They’re just the messed up norm. http://xkcd.com/936/ -
@aral I agree a longer password is better, but those requirements don't mean you can't memorize such a password. http://luigimontanez.com/2010/password-recipes/ … -
@1uigi (I like your idea of using mental memes, btw.)

@aral You not using https://agilebits.com/onepassword ? Surely a strong password is also not one that’s easily remembered / used everywhere too. -
@de I do use 1password. And I sign into my Apple account often from my phone + my TV. -
@aral For phone they have an app, but TV will always be an issue with it. I agree their requirements for a password are a bit OTT.

@aral what bothers me is that someone took a conscious decision to do that, and people around them took a conscious decision to let them -
@JimAnning I’ve noticed that people are more hesitant to argue if someone plays the security card. Even if they’re talking out their asses. -
@aral twas ever thus. just need a mechanism for filtering the good security cards from the arse covering security cards :)

@aral Those requirements look like the norm, if a little verbose in their description. Although the lack of minimum characters is disturbingThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
