@aral Isn't that template syntax similar / identical to Ember's templating?

@miksago Doesn’t ember use handlebars? If so, no, it’s about as different as it can be :) -
@aral iirc, it has some performance problems; but more that you're sending excess data to the client. -
@miksago Tally will allow you to configure that (it’s on the roadmap)—whether or not to send the data attributes to client… -
@aral ah, okay; -

@aral what about aligning with reactive? the api's are identical except for namespacing - https://github.com/component/reactive/blob/master/examples/form.html … -
@viatropos Interesting :) I hadn’t seen Reactive. Will definitely give it a look to see what the prolific@tjholowaychuk has created :) -
@aral@viatropos FWIW reactive is still only maybe 50% complete -
@tjholowaychuk It looks great though. Will definitely be checking it out :) +@viatropos

@aral can it be compiled into functions? Couldn't tell from cursory glance at site. -
@polotek Hey Marco, do you mean into JS? (Yes) :) Use Tally.js in browser. You can use either the compiled JS or the CS in Node as usual. -
@aral what I mean is can tally templates be compiled and shipped as plain js. Or do you need the engine in the browser? -
@polotek If I’m understanding you correctly, you only need the engine in the browser if you want to update the template client-side.

@aral i like this very much. wish didn't have to type "data-tally", but it's not a big deal. +100! http://colorslice.dtrejo.com does ghettoplating -
@ddtrejo Thanks, David. You can override the namespace to make it whatever you like (as per w3c recommendations) e.g., data-david-text, etc.
