@aral My favourite recent form—BA site rejecting input because I put a space in a phone number. Clearly tough to engineer around, right?

@CraigGrannell Almost impossible I’d say. If only there was a predictable way to strip spaces from input.

@aral correct me if I’m wrong, but that lookup address button isn’t big enough. With Web 3.0, buttons need to be 3x the size. -
@preppeller That’s true :)

@aral to be fair - that might be down to the version of the PAF data they have. Not al versions verify to house number level :-( -
@petehotchkiss@pilky The form works when only the post code is entered. So it is an info architecture issue.

@aral your point makes sense, but you wouldn’t be able to get the first 3 items on base of the post code. -
@JCBK I’m not saying remove those items. I’m saying layer it correctly so that the auto lookup feature is the first option. -
@aral but why? The user will have to fill those in manually anyway.

@aral I can see their thinking though. You need a house number and postcode to lookup an address -

@aral lookup does not identify your house number/flat, so wouldn't call this a mistake. But first free fields could be collapsed into 1.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
