Web browsers should be competing on user experience, not in how well they support standards. The latter should be a given.

@aral except the same browser vendors are also the owner of these other platforms they're competing against. Conflict of interest much? -
@tobie Hence why it would make sense to have a web kernel. There are conflicts of interest everywhere. W3C is full of corporate interests.
