@aral I'm not sure I see it as UX. It's an article of quick techniques (not design process) to make something more visually attractive.
If you defend the use of design as veneer, I hope you feel as strongly about getting something out there quickly using tables for layout.

@aral I agree. But, however damaging, this *is* a part of design and can – in part – be applied with simple techniques. -
@markboulton@aral I've come across quite a few developers who think design is only about 'making pretty'. This enhances that idea, I feel.
