@aral I don't think that's fair. Apple just did this to everyone not running OSX + Safari the other day on the iPad Mini event. Same shit.

@kellabyte It’s not about fair, it’s about arrogance. And Microsoft is in no position to be arrogant. (& I wish Apple wasn’t either.) -
@aral Both are in position, but agree not right. if on your Mac it would have worked. Apple blocked user-agent. FAR worse. -
@kellabyte See the thing is, not that I like it, but if *anyone* is in a position to be arrogant, it’s Apple. Microsoft just looks silly. -
@aral Are you serious? MS is on more machines than Apple by far. They are both highly successful. Nobody is in a poor position. Ridiculous. -
@kellabyte Not in tablets or phones. If we’re talking number of machines, Nokia is #1 at the moment. -
@aral Computing is an entire industry. Boundaries don't exist. Standards, etc transcend form factors.

@aral not to defend Microsoft, but seriously? I can't even watch f*ing trailers w/o Quicktime on Apple's site. -
@ailon Yep, Apple are arrogant. Thing is, if anyone is in a position to be arrogant it’s them. Doesn’t mean they should or that I like it. -
@aral yes, but technologically today it's not that easy to do a live stream for iOS devices w/o using specific Apple tech, afaik.
