@aral Definitely true. Do you think they should curate it more or leave it like this? I rather see more curation to keep the quality up
…Since many people confuse TEDx talks with TED talks, some are definitely hurting the TED brand. Others, like @TEDxAmsterdam are excellent.

@jbroring Definitely needs to be curated. -
@aral But maybe that is also the beauty of it. Having people that are new and unexperienced. Some are good, some are not? -
@jbroring Young and inexperienced is fine. Superstitious and religious nutjobbery thinly veiled in pseudoscientific bullshit isn’t :) -
@aral That doesn't sound like fun. Fair enough, haha. It needs to be curated, yes.

@aral You should meet TEDx organizers! Eg. the@TEDxVienna team is not only competent but also enthusiastic & does QC! Awesome results! -
@MacLemon I’m not saying they aren’t. I’m saying that pseudoscientific content is getting a platform at some TEDx events. +@tedxvienna -
@aral Austria even has an award for the biggest pseudoscientific bullshit named@goldenesbrett. Nevertheless I understand your concerns.

@aral I sometimes wish TED would refine its brand: "TEDx" is so close to "TED" visually, mentally…but in reality it can be very differentThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
