@aral Ha, talking strictly about the weight there - we then get on to the amazing build quality. It is strikingly light. iPod touch more so!
‘It’s not quite like picking up one of those empty dummy phones in a shop…but it’s getting there’—MacUser on iPhone 5. Is that a good feel?

@macusermagazine It’s ok, you’re actually allowed to critique Apple’s design :) -
@aral Hey, dissing Apple is pretty much our raison d'être ;) - End of conversation

@aral Got mine today. Not convinced (apart from performance). It feels cheaper than the 4s, and it is a long way from back to home. -
@drewmccormack Exactly (on all counts) :)

@aral@macusermagazine I’d say no if it felt plastic and the body flexed when tightly held, but it feels more reassuringly robust than thatThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@aral It’s weird… but it still feels like quality. It’s noticeably lighter, but still doesn’t feel “hollow” or “insignificant”. -
@dannygreg@aral I think it feels way less like quality than the 4S. The display doesn’t feel as thick and the back feels and sounds worse -
@christian_beer@aral I thoroughly disagree :). The display being thin, especially, is a great thing. I also way prefer the metal back. -
@dannygreg@aral I love the metal back of my iPhone 1. But the new metal back feels too thin, I think. That said: I still love it.
