We had PhoneGap in the good old days too. Back then we called it Adobe Air.

@savs Not sure how it facilitates web standards, tbh. If anything it’s a marketing ploy by Adobe to sell more Creative Cloud licenses. -
@aral Heh if you don't like marketing, try http://incubator.apache.org/cordova/ instead? Not perfect for everyone, but helps some to leverage html css & js. -
@savs Problem is, what perception of web technologies will people be left with if they’re used to build sub‐par native apps?
