@aral constructive criticism of technology is good, esp. with user stories, but FUD is not needed thanks. "PhoneGap = Air"? Disappointing.

@savs I know, I was rather disappointed too. Air: Wrap Flash in a native wrapper. PhoneGap: Wrap HTML in a native wrapper. -
@aral No, I mean I'm disappointed in you, comparing a proprietary legacy solution with an open approach that facilitates web standards. -
@savs Not sure how it facilitates web standards, tbh. If anything it’s a marketing ploy by Adobe to sell more Creative Cloud licenses. -
@aral Heh if you don't like marketing, try http://incubator.apache.org/cordova/ instead? Not perfect for everyone, but helps some to leverage html css & js. -
@savs Problem is, what perception of web technologies will people be left with if they’re used to build sub‐par native apps?

@aral You are aware - I assume - that there are _featured_ apps on the iOS store built with AIR, right? Maybe we bribed Apple? -
@cfjedimaster Yep. And it’s actually not horrible for games esp with latest updates. Any productivity apps you can point out, however? -
@aral and "not horrible" - seriously - Apple highlights "not horrible" apps? Have their standards fallen so far? -
@cfjedimaster What I mean is, non-native technologies suffer less of a drawback when used in immersive applications like games.
