@aral when I used IFFT to cross-post from Twitter to ADN, people on ADN got really abusive.

@ojmason Did you tell them to get a life? -
@aral probably should've done that. I tried to argue that they didn't have to read my postings, but that was too rational I think. -
@ojmason That’s the beauty of non‐symmetric networks like Twittter & ADN, you have the option to unfollow silently. -
@aral but that is less fun for some people than it is to hurl abuse. And if they have time to read the global ADN stream, I can't help them. - End of conversation

@aral I’m doing the same, but not including the link (which limits me to short posts). My worry with the links is that Twitter will ban it. -
@alastairh It’s just a stop gap.@phuunet is working on a fix that will split posts into multiple tweets so it’ll be transparent.

@aral …esp on a mobile with a slow connection :-/ I bet you bitched over Twitter clients that supported “long tweets” & this is the same -
-
@aral no no, i’m too curious for that. I’ll follow the links and be grumpy if you wrote something dumb or boring so it wasn’t worth it ;-)

@aral Similarly on ADN with the moaning about IFTTT cross-posts. More moans than actual cross-posts as far as I can see.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
