One should not assume so I’ll ask. Hi @aral, are you supporting @Openbook_org?

Replying to @JustBe74 @Openbook_org
Any social network with lock-in right now is not a true alternative. My answer will depend fully on whether Openbook is interoperable. I saw on the site that it's not decentralised. Will it at least federate so you can run your own server. If not, no. Federated is the minimum.

(1/2) Hi Aral, we want to get there eventually. We’re looking into
@SolidMit approach to this and we’re liking it so far. Our first versions will however be centralized. We do this because it’s then easier to focus on innovating in the product features and overall user experience1 reply 1 retweet 4 likes -
Replying to @OpenbookSocial @aral and
(2/2) which is what will determine wether we’ll reach the user base necessary to take on existing social networks. If we succeed at this, sky’s the limit into what we can do in regards to decentralization. We would love to invite you as an advisor on the subject at that point.

Happy to. Please also keep an eye on ActivityPub for federation and @datproject for decentralisation/replication.
