Getting started with WireGuard on Linux using AzireVPN https://ar.al/2018/07/27/getting-started-with-wireguard-on-linux-using-azirevpn/ … I get asked about VPNs quite a bit so I thought I’d write a little about them, including the ones I use and trust, in the context of trying out the new WireGuard protocol.pic.twitter.com/9FbKHG7qnO

A screenshot of the AzireVPN Security Check page. Copy: Security Check: Make sure that all tests below are green before you proceed. We’re here to keep your privacy. Service status: all services operational. VPN: you are connected. DNS leak: You are not leaking DNS. WebRTC leak: You are not leaking WebRTC." caption="The AzireVPN Security Check page.

As @NvrHX_PK4p1nN points out, you should give @ProtonVPN a test. They even have servers in non-14-eyes countries, which @AzireVPN doesn't seem to have. A reply for your footnotes: As for password manager alternatives, try looking at @bitwarden_app or @dashlane.

Hmm, Bitwarden sounded great until I read this: https://www.electricmonk.nl/log/2018/05/01/a-short-security-review-of-bitwarden/ … Third-party trackers in a password manager? Umm, no thanks!

Oh wow, thank you for that article. Now I'll have to reconsider! Busy times! 😀

As the article suggests, KeePass is still the most secure way to manage passwords. However, this offline thing is always a hassle, and you have to set up "syncing between devices" up manually. @kee_web solves this. You can sync your KeePass.kdbx through WebDAV with a login.
