What about proposing it by default in Web?

Will do, Adrien. I’d also like to find out if we could actually implement the native WebKit blocking rules. Just wanted to do what I could easily and independently first :)

Hi there! I have a local branch in a dire state with most of the code to enable the native WebKit filtering engine for
@WebKitGTK — it has stagnated a bit, so it needs a rebase and some testing, but let's see if I can finally give it a push in a few weeks

Awesome. I’m going to start looking into the codebase this week. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.

Hello Aral. Do you know if this can be done for the GNOME/Epiphany browser that comes bundled with
@elementary OS? When I tried to do the first step (see default lists installed) I got this response: No such key 'adblock-filters' -
Hmm, I don’t know. I will look into getting Elementary running under a VM when I get a moment. It might be that it ships with an earlier or modified version?
-
It is an earlier release (3.18.11) compared to the current stable (3.28.2), and I don't believe they make any major changes to it but I'm no expert. Thank you for answering!
