The hardest part isn’t understanding what surveillance capitalism is or that it is led by Google, Facebook, & other Silicon Valley “unicorns”. The hardest part is understanding the role organisations like Mozilla and the EFF play in all this. You’re left with very few heroes.

Fair warning, Levine has a reputation of spreading baseless conspiracy theories around subjects like Tor. I'd strongly suggest fact-checking anything he says before taking it as true.

(In particular, he's very good at stating things that are *technically* defendable as true, but that are very clearly written to cause interpretations and inferences that aren't. Sometimes as a wrapper of legitimacy for things that are outright and provably false.)
